Dear Mr Pritchard,

Many thanks for your recent e-mail regarding Bowmore Whisky.

I have checked with our Blender he advised me that all Bowmore products contain whiskies that have matured in Sherry casks. It is our feeling that there should be no finings (Products that are used to clarify Sherry ie isinglass) however we cannot be definitive on this. The Scotch Whisky Association are in the process of writing an official response on this but to date this has not been issued.

I would suggest you contact the SWA for more up to date information.
